Easing
Penner's 38 equations
Where to choose it
In the Tween panel, Easing row. A new tween is linear: auto-key can split it without changing its motion.
The equations
| Family | Names |
|---|---|
| Linear | linear, linearEase |
| Quad | easeInQuad, easeOutQuad, easeInOutQuad |
| Cubic | easeInCubic, easeOutCubic, easeInOutCubic |
| Quart | easeInQuart, easeOutQuart, easeInOutQuart |
| Quint | easeInQuint, easeOutQuint, easeInOutQuint |
| Sine | easeInSine, easeOutSine, easeInOutSine |
| Expo | easeInExpo, easeOutExpo, easeInOutExpo |
| Circ | easeInCirc, easeOutCirc, easeInOutCirc |
| Back | backEaseIn, backEaseOut, backEaseInOut |
| Elastic | elasticEaseIn, elasticEaseOut, elasticEaseInOut |
| Bounce | bounceEaseIn, bounceEaseOut, bounceEaseInOut |
| Regular | regularEaseIn, regularEaseOut, regularEaseInOut |
| Strong | strongEaseIn, strongEaseOut, strongEaseInOut |
"In" accelerates at the start, "Out" slows down at the end, "InOut" does both. Back and Elastic briefly overshoot the limits — the In ones below the start, the Out and InOut ones beyond the end: numbers overshoot, colors stay within their limits and opacities between 0 and 1. At the end of the tween the value is always exactly the end value.
