Tables and charts
Data written in cells, or drawn

What they are

A table writes its data in cells; a chart is a table that draws it. They are created from the Widgets panel, with sample data. The data is their own, or comes from a table in Tables; you edit it in the data panel.

Opening them

  • Double-clicking a table or a chart opens the data panel: you do not enter it as you would a group.
  • You move, scale and rotate them like any object. When you scale them the text size stays the one you set.

The Table panel

It appears with one table selected, and only one.

The Chart panel

The same panel, with the chart's rows:

Legendthe legend of the series, at the top; in pie and donut charts that of the slices
Source, Rangeas in the table
Font sizethe size of the labels
DataEdit data…

The data is read as in a spreadsheet: the first row holds the series names, the first column the categories, the other columns the values. Pie and donut charts draw the first series.
