Tables
The project's data tables
What they are
Data tables of the document, written here or read from a Google Sheet. They are not drawn: the tables and charts of the drawing use them, choosing them as Source, and so do texts, with fields such as {Tabella!B2}. They are saved with the document; in the tree they sit under "Tables".
The panel
| Element | What it does |
|---|---|
| + | a new, empty table of four rows and three columns, and the data panel on it |
| edit the data | the data panel on the selected table |
| delete | sends the selected table to the trash, in one step |
| The row | the icon, the name — you type it there — and below it where the data comes from (a Google Sheet, linked or embedded, or written here), rows × columns and when it was read |
| Double-click the icon | the data panel, like the pencil |
Binding them
A table or a chart takes its data from here with Source in its panel, and Range says which part. Once bound, the rows and columns are those of the source, and when the source changes they change too.
