Reusable symbols and marks for lines
Symbols
| Gesture | What it does |

| Drag onto the canvas | creates a use of the symbol, with the symbol origin on the point; in the page under the point, or in the active page |
| Drag onto the Use panel | replaces the symbol of that use, which stays where it is |
| Double-click | with Document: you enter the symbol, and your changes apply to all its use elements |
From the library
By default the panels show the library's symbols and markers. When dragged, a library symbol or marker is first copied into the document. To enter it and edit it, switch to the document with Document in the menu.
The use
- A
usecan be moved, scaled, and rotated: its scale stays in the matrix. - Double-clicking the
useenters the symbol; when you exit you return to theuse. - Inside a symbol you see the cross of its origin. A symbol has no size and no sheet.
Markers

| Drag onto an area of the Markers panel | assigns the marker to the start, the middle or the end |
| Double-click | with Document: you enter the marker to edit it; the Marker panel appears |
