To remove or add an element to the selection, click on the element while holding down the "SHIFT" key. The selection shows the handles that allow you to scale and rotate the selected elements. The selected elements can be deleted by pressing the "DELETE" or "CANCEL" key. This tool can be enabled through the keyboard by pressing the "V" keyShow the tutorialPoint selection toolThe tool for selecting points allows you to select and edit the SVG Path points (geometry made up of points that define segments, such as: lines and curves). Graphic elements, other than Path, can be converted into Path by clicking on the "Convert to Path" button in the element properties panel. The "Point selection" tool allows you to select points of a SVG Path by clicking on them or you can click on the background and drag to create a rectangular region where any point within that region will be selected. To remove or add a point to the selection, click on the point while holding down the SHIFT key. The "Select points" tool also allows you to select single segments of a path by clicking on them. Selected points and segments can be translated by dragging them. The selected points can be deleted by pressing the "DELETE" or "CANCEL" key. This tool can be activated through the keyboard by pressing the "A" keyShow the tutorialPan toolThe "Pan" tool allows you to move the point of view on the document. It is useful for accessing elements that are not visible within the work area. It is particularly useful after zooming with the "Zoom" tool. To move the view on the document, click inside the work area and drag the mouse horizontally and vertically. The most practical use of this tool is by pressing the keyboard’s "SPACE" key. In fact, any other tool will temporarily activate the "Pan" tool by holding down the "SPACE" key. This tool can be activated through the keyboard by pressing the "H" key.Show the tutorialZoom toolThe "Zoom" tool allows you to enlarge the view on the SVG document. Click inside the work area and drag the mouse vertically. Dragging downwards zooms in, while dragging upwards zooms out. Zooming on the page can also be done using the mouse wheel with any active tool. This tool can be activated through the keyboard by pressing the "Z" key.Show the tutorialThe "Rectangle" tool allows you to draw a rectangle or a square. To draw a rectangle, click to define the point of origin, move the mouse and click again to complete the drawing operation. Hold down the "ALT" key to draw the rectangle with origin in the center. Hold down the "SHIFT" key to constrain width and height. Press the "ESC" key to exit drawing mode. This tool can be activated through the keyboard by pressing the "R" key.Rectangle toolShow the tutorialThe "Circle-Ellipse" tool allows you to draw a circle or an ellipse. To draw a circle or an ellipse, click to define the point of origin, move the mouse and click again to complete the drawing operation. Hold down the "ALT" key to draw the element with origin in the center. Hold down the "SHIFT" key to constrain width and height. Press the "ESC" key to exit drawing mode. This tool can be activated through the keyboard by pressing the "E" key.Circle - Ellipse toolShow the tutorialThe "Regular Polygon" tool allows you to draw a regular polygon. To change the number of sides of the regular polygon, select the tab "Tools info" button, in the inspector panel, enter the new value in the "number of sides" field. To draw a regular polygon, click to define the point of origin, move the mouse and click again to complete the drawing operation. Press the "ESC" key to exit drawing mode. This tool can be activated through the keyboard by pressing the "W" key.Regular Polygon toolShow the tutorialThe "Line" tool allows you to draw a line. To draw a line, click to define the point of origin, move the mouse and click again to complete the drawing operation. Hold down the "SHIFT" key to constrain to vertical or horizontal drawing mode. Press the "ESC" key to exit drawing mode. This tool can be activated through the keyboard by pressing the "L" key.Line toolShow the tutorialThe "Arc" tool allows you to draw an arc. To draw an arc, click to define the center of the arc, move the mouse, and click again to define the starting point and the radius. Click again to define the end of the arc and complete the drawing operation. To change the direction of the arc, go to the starting point with the pointer, wait, and move the pointer in the opposite direction. Press the "ESC" key to exit drawing mode. This tool can be activated via the keyboard by pressing the "U" key.Arc toolShow the tutorialThe "Freehand Drawing" tool allows freehand drawing. To draw, click and drag the pointer freely in the work area. The shape to be drawn can be added (Boolean operation) to an already drawn and selected shape. To add the shape to be drawn to a selected shape (path), hold down the "ALT" key during the drawing phase. The shape to be drawn can be used as a subtraction (Boolean operation) from a shape that has already been drawn and selected. To use the shape you intend to draw as a subtraction from a selected shape (path), hold down the "ALT + SHIFT" key during the drawing phase. This tool can be activated via the keyboard by pressing the "N" key.Freehand toolShow the tutorialThe "Path" tool allows you to draw geometric shapes made up of consequential segments of line and curve type. To draw a sequence of linear segments click inside the work area, move the mouse to set the segment length and, finally, click again to complete the segment creation phase. After creating several segments, clicking on the start point of the path, you can close the path, thus creating a closed path. To convert a linear segment to a curve press and hold the mouse button and drag to set the curvature. After adding a curve segment, the following segments will also be of the curved type and will form a continuous curve. To end a curve insertion phase and continue with a new line segment or, non-continuous curve with respect to the previous one, click on the last point of the path. Press the "ESC" key to exit drawing mode. This tool can be activated through the keyboard by pressing the "P" key.Path toolShow the tutorialThe "Text" tool allows you to draw a text box. To draw a text box, click to define the point of origin, move the mouse, and click again to complete the drawing operation. Click on the text to edit and/or select the contained text. The text inside the text box wraps automatically when it reaches the limit of the length of the text box. Press the "ESC" key to exit drawing mode. This tool can be activated via the keyboard by pressing the "T" key.Text toolShow the tutorialThe "Offset" tool allows you to create a copy of the selected item at a specified distance from the original. Click the element you want to offset. Move the mouse to define the offset distance from the original element. By pressing the "TAB" key you can enter the offset value in the current unit of measure in the inspector / tool panel. Press the "ESC" key to exit the offset creation mode. This tool can be activated via the keyboard by pressing the "O" key.Offset toolShow the tutorialThe Fillet tool creates a circular arc tangent to two line segments. This produces a smooth, curved connection between the lines. Click first on one line, then on the other, to specify the lines between which you want to construct the fillet. To set the radius of the fillet tool, click the tool information panel and enter a new value. This tool can be activated via the keyboard by pressing the "J" key. Fillet toolShow the tutorialThe "Add/Remove Points" tool allows you to add or remove points from an "SVG Path". Click on the outline of a Path to add a new point.
