Selection and editing of the points on an SVG Path
The tool for selecting points allows you to select and edit the points that make up the geometries of the "Path SVG" graphic elements (geometry made up of points that define segments, such as: lines and curves).
Graphic elements, other than Path, can be converted into Path by clicking on the "Convert to Path" button in the element properties panel. For example, to edit the points of a text you must convert it to a Path first.
The selection also acts on the points of elements internal to others, such as those of a Path contained in a group.
This tool can be activated through the keyboard by pressing the [a] key.
Selection of points of a Path by clicking
In the event that there is no selected element, select one by clicking on it.
A selected Path element shows the resize handles of the points/vertices that form the geometry of the element. Click on a handle to select the point.
Move the selected points
To move the selected points, left-click on a selected point and drag the selection to a new position.
To limit the movements on the X or Y axes, or at a certain angle (defined in the page properties panel) hold down the [SHIFT] key.
Actions and modes of the tool
